Meet the Hazards is not just about motherhood – it's about a mom taking a leap of faith, and learning how to be a better parent along the way. The blog was developed after the demise of the Portland Press Herald's lifestyle supplement, The Maine Switch – where Hazard wrote a column about family life. Encouraged by her husband to continue writing about balancing a career and two young children, Hazard began her blog.

Cute Potato: Your Guide to Kid-Friendly Maine
Jennifer Hazard loves food, travel and music, and now that she’s a parent, she thought, why not create a blog that features all of these interests, with a kid-friendly slant? Inspired by the Maine Maven, Hazard began blogging about the places, shops and events she enjoys with her children. She hopes the blog will not only be helpful to Maine parents, but for families visiting the state as well.
