I was fortunate to meet Merrill Williams, the editor of Maine Food & Lifestyle, at a Slowfood event in Portland. We chatted for awhile about story ideas, and she assigned me a feature on farmers who raise lamb. Since then, my assignments have taken me to farms and food purveyors throughout Maine.
